It is hard to believe that a week ago today the mermaids were getting ready for the last day of our sweet Sirenes song together. I have been slowly sifting through the boxes of memories and taking in the empty rooms of my home all week. No longer is my living room filled to the brim with seaside decor and mermaids waiting for the fun to begin. Often after an event, the big ole' boxes of lingering goodies stay in the garage for a while. I take a break from it all to rest, gain perspective and recharge my batteries. This time though, I have found myself wanting to look at everything again. Not wanted to miss a thing. Reliving the many wonderful moments. . .
I must say that this group of mermaids came to play, relax and flip their flops off. The party began even before the event started with an amazing Mermaid Martini Cocktail Party hosted by Joy Campbell and Terry Frias. While I only stopped in for a moment, I could tell the fun had begun ~ blue glowing drinks and goodie bags, oh my. . .
The "official" festivities began with a vendor night because frankly every girl needs to get her shopping on before a weekend of crafting, right? Honestly though, there is nothing we all like better than to spend the evening supporting our lovely artist friends and their wares. There was an amazing line up of talented women who transformed their tables into vendor masterpieces including Christine Rose Elle, Christine Saqui, Deb Hodge, Denise Hahn, Holly Stinnett, Jamie Skolnik, Jollee Jane Pollack, Jenn Hayslip, Jenny Hernandez, Judy Mackay, Julie Haymaker, Karin Aguirre and Melissa Phillips. Wow! Here are just a few displays of their fabulous artistic eye candy.
A mermaid evening wouldn't be complete without some goodies, so each lady received a seaside bucket filled with snacks and a lovely mermaid wand to take back to her room. I just love our sweet sirene that Holly redesigned for me with her signature ladylike dimensions.
While the mermaids went to get some winks, the evening had just begun for me and my lovely friends extrodinaire, Cheryl, Cynthia and Val, who helped me transform our oasis into the perfect mermaid cove.
The sweet Jute Beach Bags from France were pouring over the top with the most delicious goodies from an amazing group of sponsors. From hand crafted personalized shell letters by Val to beautiful brooch kits by Cassandra to incredible press kits from Lollishops, the bounty was plentiful and gorgeous. So many thanks to the most generous group of goodie sponsors that poured a bit of their sunshine into each sweet packet.
There is so much more to share and many thanks still to be given. I don't want you to miss a moment so stay tuned for more mermaid memories. Can I tell you a secret? I really just don't want it all to end. . .
