This last weekend I was blessed to be invited to a sweet get away at my girlfriend's Earleen's. Two days with wonderful friends, two fabulous classes with Deb Hodge, spring theme, shopping in AZ ~ I'm there in a heartbeat. . .
Now if you know Miss Earleen, you know that she loves to remind everyone that whatever party takes place at her house is NOT an event. THEN, she dazzles you when you walk in the door with unexpected gloriousness! Earleen conspired with her girl, Kelli Collins, and created spring decor in all my favorite colors and textures. I met Kelli back in 2005 at the first Creative Escape. She is a die hard scrapbooker but can take all the papers and embellishment and create such beautiful decor.

From the centerpieces to name tags to goodie boxes, it was gorgeous. . .
Of course, Deb outdid herself as always with the most amazing kit packaging for her classes. What I love about this is that even before you begin your class, you have a beautiful kit handmade by Deb. You know I believe in ~ It's all about the presentation. She packaged our banner class in these sweet straw bags with our initials stiched on printed linen.
Our chandelier class was sweetly tucked in this fabulous watering can, which she decorated with our name and vintage roses. It was at this point I realized I should have brought another suitcase!
You can read about the classes here ~ as usual I was my slow crafty self but will be finishing up my pieces this week to share with you. Deb has opened up at classroom studio at the Urban Barn so if you can take one of her classes, you will walk away with tons of love.
The most important part ~ the girls and the memories. I was treated to a stay in Annette's glorious "pink" room and indulged in her cupcakes and cookies. I also got to ride in THREE of their cars and figure out the inside scoop on breaking my luggage out of an electronically locked BMW trunk (long story but worth every moment of excitement). I never take a trip without a little adventure. . .
Darling Nicole. . .
Toyette, smokin hot as always. . .
My sweet friend, Sherry. . .
My last minute wild road trip girlfriend, Andrea (darn Southwest but who knew you could rent a car one way from AZ to CA for $38!)
AND, our beautiful and always entertaining hostess, Earleen. Thank you for a weekend full of laughter and wonderful memories. . .
