Class Descriptions & Artist Information:
The mother-daughter design team of Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso has been collaborating in creative ways for as long as both can remember. When Shea was growing up, Debbie taught stained glass classes in the community college system and owned a custom design business and fine art painting studio.
When Shea finished school, they owned gift shops together in Southern California. Shea became a highly sought after jewelry designer; her creations appeared in dozens of fashion magazines and graced the red carpet several times. Both women designed products for the gift industry and sold pieces to collectors around the world.
In 2009, Debbie and Shea completed a major remodeling of a gothic church in Dallas, Texas. Here, they indulge in their love of crowns and European design and are constantly inspired by the architecture and the light. You can watch their creative journey continue to unfold at A Gilded Life .
We are Jenny Heid & Aaron Nieradka...a duo of artists from the New Jersey Shore. We have been designing together for more than 16 years and our artwork has gone through many changes as far as size, scope, and mediums; First starting as antique furniture restorers & muralists...and then moving on to own our hand painted furniture company and retail store. We followed that with a line of gifts and home accessories that we sold to shops and boutiques nationwide. Our designs have graced the pages of magazines such as Country Living, Country Home, Woman's Day Decorating Ideas, Design New Jersey, Romantic Homes, Somerset Life, The New York Times Magazine...and were featured on NBC's Today Show with Matt Lauer. We have been lucky enough to work with some of the most amazing designers & decorators in the Tri State area & beyond, and have earned a long list of celebrity clients.
Now our focus is on licensing our unique designs to select manufacturers of home accessories and stationery items. Almost daily we are adding to our growing collection of very personal artwork which draws upon our love for vintage collectibles, old fashioned bakeries, holiday decorations, vintage wallpapers, fabrics, & ephemera. We have been instructors at many national venues including Silver Bella in Omaha, NE and Art Opera in Red Bank, NJ. You can see what we're up to on our Blog, which bears the same name as our company: Everyday is a Holiday.
Doll artist Colleen Moody has been creating vintage style folk art dolls for over 15 years. Her work has been featured on the cover of Somerset Studio, Art Doll Quarterly and within the pages of other publications. To learn more about Colleen’s work please visit her blog at here.
A lover of all things tattered and worn, Kerry Lynn Yeary lives in beautiful Sonoma County, California with her Husband and their two children who they affectionately call "the littles". An Art History major, she is passionate about art and proudly wears her heart on her sleeve. She obsessively collects Bonnie Cashin, adores prints & patterns and couldn't begin her day without drinking one of her husbands Soy Lattes. Her days are spent wrangling her littles and designing with paper, pixels & fabric. She is blessed to design for three amazing Scrapbook Manufacturers; Jenni Bowlin, 7gypsies and Hambly Screenprints. You can view more of her work and catch a glimpse of her silly life on her: Blog.
Moulin Rouge Flea Market Expedition
Come join us for an entire day and evening of antiquing at some of the best West Coast shopping spots from Long Beach to San Diego. We will travel in a luxury motor coach complete with leather seats, air-conditioning, dvd players and wireless internet. Our Flea Market itinerary will include the following exciting stops and exclusive receptions:
~ First, we will travel to the incredible Long Beach Flea Market where we will spend three hours hunting through over 800 antique dealers and their finds.
~ Then sit back for a scenic trip down the coast to home of Debi Beard’s amazing seaside shop, Out of the Blue. Our visit will be perfect timing to visit their monthly Mermaid’s Mercantile where over 20 vendors sell their wares. Known for her themed markets, March will be continuing our Parisian party with Mermaid Marmalade. You might even find yourself dressing up in a fabulous showgirl costume, taking center stage in front of the shop and posing for a picture! There will also be a special gift for our bus tour can can girls.
~ Next, we will head to the Ocean Beach Antique District for a lovely dessert reception at Lori Chandler’s famed Vignette's Antiques and Collectibles. Step inside this gorgeous shop and experience the alluring beauty and faded grandeur of Old Paris. Her exclusive antique dealers are known for their fabulous antiques and statement pieces from all over the world. Enjoy a delicious treat, listen to the soft French tunes and experience what sets this shop apart from any other. If time permits, there will be a list of some other wonderful antique spots to browse in this charming area.
~ We will make our last stop before heading home at Michelle White’s Paper Tales Scrapbooking Shop in San Diego for a private pizza party, shopping and relaxing. This darling shop is known for some of the best paper arts selections and art classes in Southern California. Melissa Francis, Tim Holtz and Pink Paislee are just some of the products they carry.
