In case you hadn't heard (insert sarcastic giggle), I have mad love for dollies. I don't discriminate ~ I love them all. Chipped, bodyless, armless, naked and even in perfect condition. So when I started designing my vision for this new website, I knew that my dollie fascination was going to be at the forefront.
I searched through my many images of vintage dolls and found one of my most cherished images ~ isn't she just devine from her dirty legs to cracked skin? I found her on Pinterest (if only I actually owned her, sigh) but she was the inspiration for my website dollie. Of course, I had to hook up with one of my most favorite artists, Lisa Loria. Lisa has mad dollie love too just like me and I knew she could create a painting that I could use that would be original but based on my crazy obsession with this little girl.
Working with Lisa was a dream! We communicated mostly via texts! Here are a couple of pics from my iPhone of the beginning stages. We talked color, positioning, and all the details bearing in mind that Hope would be using her amazing graphics skills to use the painting on my new site.
Isn't it amazing to see her transformation? If you look along the right side of my sidebar, you'll see how she came out digitally too once Hope got her turn to play. And just a dollie is never enough, so on we went with a vintage dollhouse. . .
I just couldn't be more thrilled with how my new brand has evolved. It was such a pleasure working with these two amazing artists to create all the pretty! If you are looking for an original painting and art for your site or home on any level, I couldn't recommend Lisa any more highly. And let me just say that Hope can create anything your heart desires. Her favorite question to me through the entire process was ~ What would you like? And then she made it magically happen!
Very cute indeed!
